How do I purchase a dress?

You can reach out to us by sending a WhatsApp message to 1(440)-941-0001, you can call or text that number, or you can email us at madealamodeusa@gmail.com. Alternatively, you can message us on Instagram or Facebook. We are working on being able to purchase directly from the site but at this time we are unable to due to having to estimate shipping costs for the buyer after they express interest. This is also the case since some of the prices of the dresses are negotiable.
Who pays for shipping?

Nowadays, we try to include the price of shipping in the price listed with each dress. Dresses like wedding dresses do not often include shipping therefore you can message us and we can discuss the shipping then!
How do I know the item is clean and in good condition?

At made a la mode, we make it a priority to provide a quality product. The vision for our brand started with the idea that so many women have amazing quality dresses sitting in their homes with nowhere to sell them. We are a platform for sellers to sell those dresses and for buyers to trust that they will receive nothing short of high quality. In addition to this promise, the seller will not receive the payment until the buyer receives the product and verifies that it is in good condition. The seller is responsible for dry cleaning the dress before sending out to the buyer.
How does payment work?

At this time, made a la mode operates with direct messaging for payment due to the necessity of calculating shipping costs and verifying the buyer and seller are ready for the transaction. We can receive Zelle, Venmo, or Cashapp. That is also how the seller will receive their payments. The sender will not receive their payment until the buyer receives their product. At this time, made a la mode takes 15% of the total sale for commission. We take 20% if a dress is marked below $100. If interested in buying a product, please message us on Facebook or Instagram. How do I sell a dress on here?

The two best places to reach us is by instagram direct message or WhatsApp messaging 440-941-0001. Alternatively, you can email us photos of a dress to madealamodeusa@gmail.com or message us on Facebook. If you decide to message us on Facebook or email, know the wait for response may be longer. We will have you answer a series of questions if the dress is approved to be sold. This is just to collect details for the buyers about size, height, amount worn, etc. Made a la mode takes 15% in commission for every sale for dresses over $100 and 20% for dresses posted under $100.
Are we able to negotiate prices as buyers?

Many of our sellers are willing to negotiate prices. To negotiate a price, direct message us on Instagram @madealamode or WhatsApp message us at 440-941-0001.
What states can buyers purchase or sell dresses in?

Currently, we ship to anywhere in the US and Canada. We can set up a location for pickup if both the seller and the buyer are in the same city and state.
What size dresses can I sell?

We accept any dress sizes. This includes all youth ages through adulthood.
